Sixty years ago, the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Navy first selected Phillips Corporation to provide support and management of logistics, maintenance, and industrial operations across shipyards. A few months ago, we celebrated the anniversary of that momentous decision and what it means for our business. We are so very proud of our continuous relationship with the Navy and the thousands of services we have performed in its support.
Now we’re starting our seventh decade as the “partner of choice” to support U.S. Navy shipyards. Providing another 60 years of world-class service to our country’s military will take all of our existing expertise. It will also require a long-term strategy to support the DoD in meeting fleet schedules and national security goals.
Let’s look back before we look forward.
Phillips Corp. as a “One-stop shop” for the U.S. Navy
One of the very first differentiators Phillips Corp. offered the Navy was our ability to provide fast, reliable, and responsive maintenance support in multiple areas. We’re a “one-stop shop” for the Navy and have served that role throughout our 60-year relationship.
The Navy relies on us because we offer end-to-end, full-service solutions for maintenance and calibration analysis of industrial plant equipment. No other vendors needed. From preventive maintenance to training to reporting (and everything in between), we say ‘Yes!’ to virtually every service request asked by our Navy partners.
An industry-leading reputation
At Phillips Corp., our calling card is expertise. That’s what we’re known for. We operate at the intersection of logistics, maintenance, and industrial operations. That capability explains the success and durability of our ongoing relationship with the U.S. Department of Defense and other federal agencies.
How to maintain that reputation for the next 60 years?
To start, we will remain driven by our mission: to create legendary value for the U.S. Department of Defense by unlocking solutions that offer new capabilities to support the Navy. By investing in our people and understanding the latest technology and innovation, we will remain at the forefront of our industry.
We also plan to stay true to our core tenets: to deliver services and equipment with speed, reliability, and responsiveness.
That positioning enables us to continue our work maintaining the Navy’s warships and combat systems. In another 60 years, we expect to be likewise helping the Navy rapidly getting ships to sea, and ensuring their readiness to deliver responsive combat power to the fleet.
Thank you, U.S. Navy – fair winds and following seas. Here’s to another 60 years!
