Wherever delicate structures with very fine surfaces and thin walls are key, FDR is the right solution. Unlike the other options in the EOS portfolio, it uses a laser with an output of 50 watts. The laser produces a very fine beam with a focus diameter twice as small as existing SLS technologies.
The technology achieves extremely fine surfaces, as well as delicate but stable parts with a minimum wall thickness of just 0.22 mm. This opens up new fields of applications for series production and even more variety for the industry when choosing the right 3D printing technology for plastics.
