Role Description

Role descriptions are living and breathing documents here at Phillips. As a Partner’s competencies grow, their roles can change rapidly depending on the current needs of the team or their newly developed competencies. There have been some Partners at Phillips who have even developed their own new positions that have never been done before! By expanding their competencies they were able to identify an opportunity for a new role that would propel Phillips to greater heights.

“My role description as living and breathing documents means that I am not locked into a set job, which can change. Understanding one area is not enough, one must understand all aspects that can affect the position they are in. A change in one position, even yours, can affect how things are done in multiple other positions. This allows us to keep in mind that we all must expand beyond seeing just the position we are in as a single part of the job.”
